Description

A refreshing twist on a classic mimosa using raspberry sorbet and Chambord for a fruity cocktail experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) Prosecco or other sparkling wine
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) raspberry sorbet
  • 4 oz (120 ml) Chambord
  • 12 raspberries

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glasses: Start by chilling your champagne flutes in the freezer. Leave them in there for a few minutes until they are frosty. This helps keep your mimosas refreshing and bubbly longer. Just do not forget them, or they might start to freeze!
  2. Add Sorbet & Raspberries: Scoop some raspberry sorbet into each chilled flute, letting it sit just below the rim. The rich color and texture of the sorbet create a beautiful base. Be careful not to overfill, or you might end up with a messy pour.
  3. Pour the Champagne: Gently pour in your dry sparkling wine over the sorbet, watching the bubbles rise and blend together. This creates a stunning visual effect, and the dryness helps balance the sweetness of the sorbet. Just remember to pour slowly to prevent overflow!
  4. Top with Liqueur: Drizzle a bit of Chambord on top for an extra burst of raspberry flavor. It adds a lovely touch and looks super pretty. Just a little goes a long way, so do not drown your creation.
  5. Serve Immediately: Serve the mimosas right away for the best experience with flavors and presentation. They should look inviting and be frothy at the top. Hold off if the sorbet has not started to melt, as the drink could become overly sweet if you wait too long.

Notes

  • Storage Tips: Best served fresh; do not store once mixed.
  • Expert Tips: Use frozen raspberries if fresh ones are not available.
  • If using sorbet, let it soften for about a minute before adding champagne for easier mixing.
  • For a less sweet drink, opt for a dry Prosecco or sparkling wine to balance the sweetness.
  • If your drink seems too strong, try reducing the amount of Chambord by half for a more balanced flavor.
  • For a visually appealing presentation, garnish each glass with a few fresh raspberries on top.
  • When serving, pour the champagne gently to maintain the bubbles and create a beautiful effect.
